Correspondence includes letters about her research about Peter Stuart Ney and publication thereof. There are two manuscripts, "The Two Graves of Marshal Ney" and "Ney's Attempt to Escape." Research material includes photostats and typescripts of original documents. Printed material contains two articles published by Mrs. Quynn, as well as articles about Marshal Ney. Dorothy MacKay Quynn was born in San Francisco in 1899. She graduated from the University of California with an A.B. in 1918 and an M.A. in 1919. She received a Docteur de l'Universite de Paris in 1923. She was on the faculty of Mills College from 1923 to 1926, West Virginia University from 1926 to 1930, Duke University from 1930 to 1947, Goucher College from 1947 to 1948, and Maryland from 1948 to 1949. She has published numerous articles, many co-authored by her husband William Rogers Quynn. ...
